How It Started

Doug Reitmeyer (dad) and Sean Reitmeyer (me) are the creators of the Government Construction Experts Workshop. Between us we've performed over 1,000 federal contracts that generated over a billion dollars in revenue across four decades.

But the reason we do what we do today started in 2005.

We were actively running a construction company when my brother Ryan was in a boating accident that resulted in the removal of part of his brain. Everything changed overnight.

That tragedy pushed us to build a system — BidTrakker — so we wouldn't have to rely on being in the field every day. A system that finds the work, tracks the bids, and wins the contracts, whether or not you can be everywhere at once.

It worked. And then something else happened: the contractors we taught started winning too. Years after we started teaching, our members have been awarded over a billion dollars in federal contracts of their own — verified on public record at USASpending.gov.

Now we teach contractors exactly how we did it. Not theory. The same tools, templates, and technology we built and used ourselves, cataloged and handed to you.
