Most people think they have a lifetime.

Let’s do the math. If you live to 80 years old, that’s about 29,000–30,000 days. Sounds like a lot. But subtract childhood. Subtract the last decade or two when your energy declines. Subtract one-third of your life sleeping. Subtract the years you spend distracted, unfocused, or just surviving. Now how many truly effective days do you actually have? Not 30,000. Maybe 10,000. Maybe less. That’s it. Ten thousand days to build something meaningful. Ten thousand days to take risks. Ten thousand days to become the person you said you wanted to become. Most people burn those days casually. The people who win treat their days like inventory. You don’t need more time. You need urgency. What are you doing with your effective days?
