Federal construction in any political climate.

Let’s address something head-on. A contractor jumped on a Zoom and said: “Your proof page shows contracts from the Biden era. What happens if Trump’s in office? Does that change what you’re teaching? Does that change the results?” Short answer? Zero. And here’s why. Federal Construction Is Not Political — It’s Structural Federal construction doesn’t disappear based on who’s in the White House. It is built into: - The federal budget - Agency maintenance cycles - Infrastructure obligations - Military facility requirements - VA hospital maintenance - Federal building upkeep Presidents change. Agencies remain. The Army still needs roofs. The VA still needs doors. Federal prisons still need HVAC. Bases still need paving. This isn’t stimulus-driven guessing. It’s operational necessity. Understanding the USAspending Confusion When you click a link on a proof page and only see recent awards, that doesn’t mean that’s all that was won. USAspending changed its linking structure. You must manually select: “All Fiscal Years” Once you do that, you’ll see the full history. That’s not politics. That’s navigation. If You’re Serious About Federal Work, Politics Shouldn’t Even Be in the Conversation Contractors who win consistently understand something: This is not an ideology business. It’s a rulebook business. If you understand: - The Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) - The funding cycles - The end-of-fiscal-year spending surge (September 30) - The negotiation leverage inside RFQs - The “no-risk bidding” structure under FAR 13.004 Then it doesn’t matter who is President. The money is appropriated. The projects are solicited. The contracts are awarded. The Real Issue Most Contractors Have It’s not politics. It’s: - Not knowing where to find contracts. - Getting overwhelmed by SAM.gov. - Thinking bonding is a wall. - Believing you need licenses everywhere. - Not understanding how to subcontract nationally.
